Bio

Kirk Kalbfleisch is a professional freelance drummer and drum instructor based out of Portland, OR. Originally from Las Vegas, Kirk attended the University of Portland where he continued his studies in jazz drumming. For years, Kirk has been an active member in Portland's local and touring music scene, playing with bands and artists such as Haley Johnson, Reva Devito, Mbrascatu, Reb + the Good News, World's Finest, Outer Orbit, Coco Columbia, Jake Capistran, and Toothbone. Kirk is a founding member of D.V.R., Rose Tinted and Dockin' Yachts, which all have band pages avaiable to view under the "Booking" page found in the main menu of this site. 

 

As a drum educator, Kirk teaches through his own drum program, Kirk Kalbfleisch Drum Academy. After 10+ years of teaching experience and developing his own program though one of the best music schools in Portland, Kirk now offers his students one of the best value drum programs in the community.
